About Us

The Colorado Hospital Directors of Volunteer Services (CHDVS) was established in 1965 to promote professional development in healthcare volunteer management in Colorado. Currently, the organization is comprised of volunteer managers, coordinators, and directors from hospitals in the Denver area and throughout the state of Colorado.

Our goals are to:

  • Provide information and educational opportunities for volunteer managers, coordinators, and directors.
  • Support CHDVS members through networking, sharing of resources, skills and best practices.
  • Enhance the image and credibility of those who work with healthcare volunteers throughout the state of Colorado.

Our meetings are held monthly and include lunch and a speaker or activity to enhance our professional education. In addition, we have a 2 day Professional Development Conference in October and a December Holiday Luncheon where “alumnae” members are invited to share their wisdom and renew acquaintances.
